Markhora is a private team app for contracting companies. A company signs up, an administrator creates accounts for its own staff, and those staff use the app to message each other, see their schedule, and see their sales numbers. There is no public sign-up and no consumer version.
This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. It applies to the iOS app, the Android app, and the web app.
Two parties are involved, and the difference matters:
If you want your information corrected or removed, your employer's administrator is usually the fastest route. You can also contact us directly using the details at the bottom of this page.
| Name | Shown on your messages and on the leaderboard. |
|---|---|
| Email address | Used to sign in and to identify your account. |
| Phone number | Optional. Lets colleagues call you from inside the app. |
| Profile photo | Optional. Shown next to your messages. |
| Role and branch | Set by your administrator. Decides what you can see and do. |
If your employer connects their job-management system — such as ServiceTitan — the app copies in scheduling and sales information so it can show your calendar and your numbers. This includes appointments, job types, sales totals, and the name, address and phone number of the customer for each appointment.
That customer information belongs to your employer and already exists in their system. Markhora displays it to their staff; it is not used for anything else, and it is never sold or shared.
Only to run the app for your company: to sign you in, deliver your messages to the right people, show your schedule and your numbers, and notify you when something needs your attention.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. There is no advertising in the app, and no third-party analytics or tracking software.
The app runs on infrastructure operated by others, who store or transmit information on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes:
Where your employer connects their own job-management system, information also passes between that system and Markhora at their direction.
You can turn push notifications off per device inside the app, or in your phone's settings. The app works without them.
You can change your name, photo and password in the app. Your role and branch are set by your administrator.
You can delete your own account from inside the app, under your account menu. You can also start the process from our account deletion page without signing in.
When an account is deleted, your name, email address, phone number and profile photo are removed, along with your saved devices and notification settings, and you can no longer sign in. Messages you posted stay in the channels where you posted them, shown as from a deleted user, so your colleagues' conversations remain readable. If you want those messages removed as well, ask your administrator, who can delete individual messages.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your information, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to how it is used. Contact us or your employer's administrator and we will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for asking.
Information travels over encrypted connections and is stored encrypted at rest. Access is enforced at the database level, not only in the app, so the rules above hold even for someone querying the data directly. Passwords are stored hashed and cannot be read by us or by your employer.
Markhora is a workplace tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
If this policy changes in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date at the top and notify administrators. Continuing to use the app after a change means the updated policy applies.
